"The LA Dental Update": From AI and Implant Dogmas to Mental Health in Dentistry

Synopsis

This presentation will showcase the latest in dentistry coming from the multiple areas in which Dr. Kyle Stanley lives. The basics of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and how it is changing dentistry will be discussed. This presentation will also show proven research and thought-provoking ideas regarding dogmas in implant dentistry. By picking apart old dogmas regarding materials, design, maintenance, etc., we can understand the periimplant biology and limit complications in the long term. In addition, Dr. Stanley will introduce the taboo topic of mental health in dentistry. We will examine different aspects of predictable clinical dentistry, practice management, and research-proven stress reduction techniques that allow dentists to be more successful in their clinical practices and live a more balanced life.

Biography
Dr. Kyle Stanley, named as "The Next Generation of Cosmetic Dentistry" by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, “The Top 10 Young Educators in Dentistry” by the Seattle Study Club, and "World's Top 100 Doctors in Dentistry" graduated from USC and then went on to complete a dental implant residency and dental implant specialty in Brazil. He is a researcher who has published in some of the top dental journals about topics relating to esthetics, implants, and plastic surgery. With his company Pearl, he is changing the way patients are treated through artificial intelligence. Dr. Stanley is the most prominent advocate of mental health in dentistry and through his Light Side community has helped countless dentists reduce stress and anxiety. He maintains a private practice in Beverly Hills where he focuses on implant surgery and prosthetics.

In lieu of a lunch, our executive will make a donation to the Edmonton Food Bank to help those in need.
